Senior Database Marketing & Automations Specialist

Are you an experienced digital marketer who loves turning data into high-performing campaigns? Do you enjoy building automated customer journeys and finding smart ways to segment audiences? If you are ready to move past basic execution and take real ownership of automation workflows, Go Auto has the perfect opportunity for you.

Collaborating with our Manager of Database Marketing & Automations—as well as the rest of our fast-paced marketing team—you will be the hands-on specialist driving our automated marketing efforts. You will use your digital skillset to manage customer journeys, build targeted audiences, and optimize campaigns that influence consumers throughout their car buying and servicing experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Journey Management: Design, build, and continuously optimize automated multi-channel customer journeys across Email, SMS, Push, In-App.
  • Process Automation: Identify manual marketing tasks and build automated workflows to improve team efficiency and scalability.
  • Database Maintenance: Manage customer database health, ensuring data hygiene, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Audience Segmentation: Handle data segmentation for targeted marketing campaigns, tailoring lists based on customer behavior, lifecycle stages, and purchase history.
  • Campaign Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance and deliverability metrics. Use A/B testing and data insights to suggest concrete optimizations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with creative, data, and internal business teams to ensure data aligns with campaign goals and technical integrations run smoothly.
  • Tech Adoption: Stay up to date with new features in our marketing technology stack and industry best practices to keep our campaigns competitive.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in database marketing, CRM, or marketing automation (moving beyond entry-level/internship roles).
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience working within Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., Iterable, Klaviyo, Marketo, Braze) and CRM systems. Familiarity with data analytics tools (like Google Analytics, Power BI) and the general MS suite of tools (Excel, PPT, Outlook). Basic knowledge of HTML, JSON or SQL is a definite plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving abilities with a knack for looking at campaign data and understanding what is working and what isn't.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams.

The Perks:

  • Extra Vacation: 3 weeks, then an additional week after 5 and 10 years with Go Auto
  • Health Benefits: Health care and dental (80% - 100%), plus a health spending account
  • Employee Investment Program: It guarantees you at least a 10% return every year.
  • Employee SavingsAn employee purchase program for all Go Auto vehicles and between 15-30% savings on car insurance.
  • Growth Opportunities: Upward mobility through Go Auto’s many business operations.
  • In-House Lunch Program: Food made by in-house red seal chefs, delivered to you daily (Edmonton ONLY).
