  • Manage employment litigation files from pleadings through resolution in both Alberta and British Columbia
  • Represent the organization across all levels of court and applicable tribunals in Alberta and British Columbia
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and settlement materials
  • Participate in alternate dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Support proactive risk mitigation and policy development across both provinces
  • Contribute to proactive employment practices and help the business navigate issues before they escalate

What You Bring

  • Called to the Bar in either British Columbia or Alberta (active, in good standing)
  • 1–4 years of employment and or more generally, litigation experience in both provinces
  • Proven ability to take a confident, results-driven approach in litigation
  • Experience appearing before courts and/or tribunals
  • Ability to independently manage files across jurisdictions
  • Strong ethics, advocacy, negotiation, and written skills
  • High ownership, urgency, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment
  • This role is best suited for someone who enjoys oral advocacy and active litigation work
  • You will be expected to take ownership of files, advance positions, and drive matters forward
  • The environment is direct and fast-moving, with less hierarchy than a traditional law firm

Why Join Us

  • No billable or time keeping requirements
  • Meaningful, hands-on litigation experience from day one, with early responsibility across a broad range of files
  • Legal operates as a business partner, working closely with leadership to support fair and practical outcomes
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and decision-making
  • Opportunity to build cross-jurisdictional experience quickly
  • Competitive compensation and benefits (including coverage of professional fees)
  • Long-term growth within a large, multi-entity organization
