Dealership Marketing Manager
If you love marketing that moves metal, this is the job for you! We’re looking for a results-driven, in-store marketing expert to lead the strategy and execution for a group of high-performing dealerships. You’ll be the go-to person for everything from campaign planning and creative approvals to vendor coordination, media buying, and performance reporting.
This is a hands-on role for someone who loves balancing creativity with analytics, who can build a plan, brief the team, and then roll up their sleeves to get it live. You’ll work directly with our sales, service, and leadership teams to create marketing that drives traffic, builds loyalty, and delivers measurable results.
What You’ll Do
- Lead marketing strategy and execution for a portfolio of dealerships, managing all local campaigns across digital, traditional, and in-store channels.
- Plan and buy media (Google, Meta, YouTube, programmatic, radio, OOH, etc.), ensuring efficient use of every dollar.
- Submit and manage co-op advertising claims, while coordinating OEM programs, incentives, and compliance requirements to maximize support funding.
- Manage vendors and partners, negotiating rates, coordinating creative deliverables, and holding them accountable for performance.
- Oversee dealership websites, ensuring all inventory, offers, creative, and messaging are accurate, up-to-date, and front-line ready every day.
- Manage and coordinate social media content and advertising across platforms, ensuring consistent brand presence, timely engagement, and alignment with dealership campaigns.
- Oversee online reviews and reputation management, ensuring dealerships actively respond, resolve issues promptly, and maintain exceptional public ratings.
- Leverage AI tools for content creation, ad optimization, and customer segmentation to improve speed and precision.
- Monitor campaign performance through dashboards and reports, connecting marketing to sales, and providing clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Own monthly marketing plans and budgets, allocating spend wisely to hit sales and service objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams (digital, design, CRM, analytics) to deliver integrated campaigns and consistent brand experiences.
- Develop localized creative, from point-of-sale materials and in-store displays to seasonal promotions and digital ads.
- Report results clearly to dealership leaders, identifying wins, gaps, and opportunities for growth.
- Stay on top of industry trends, AI innovations, and OEM programs and brand standards to keep your stores ahead of the curve.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of marketing experience in retail, automotive, or multi-location businesses.
- Strong understanding of digital media, analytics, and consumer behaviour.
- Local market expertise, with a deep understanding of area demographics, customer profiles, and competitive dynamics.
- Experience in vendor and media management, including contract negotiation and performance tracking.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, Meta, and key reporting tools (Data Studio, Looker, etc.).
- Familiarity with AI marketing tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, Midjourney, etc.) and how to apply them for content, ad copy, and automation.
- Solid grasp of CRM and customer journey marketing, including email, SMS, and automation workflows.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without missing a beat.
- A love of numbers, you can interpret metrics and explain what they mean to non-marketers.
- Experience in the automotive industry or a fast-paced retail environment is a major asset.
